FRIENDS
DINGUS
MOSS
AIRGOPAPA
members of our site since it's creation many moons ago. This site has been around for quite some time now and having these fine men around since its inception make thier loss a hard one on us all. Tight bonds and friendships are made here at Varmint Hunting like no other site on the net, we are a close-knit bunch of folks and these guys were the best of the best. These three men touched many of our lives in many different ways and they all will be missed for a long time to come. Dingus had a sense of humor that was very distinct in it's own right, and had sayings and comments on subjects that you'll never forget. Moss was a very personable fella who would offer advice on any matter if asked. He was an avid outdoorsmen enjoying all types of outdoor activities...not just hunting. Airgopapa was a wealth of information when it came to firearms and gunsmithing...he too had a sense of humor that had us all in stiches on many occasions on chat nite. Dingus & Airgo were a few of the originators of the "Ainglish" style of writing here in our site. Ainglish is a way of writing posts to read out like you spoke in a southern drawl and were born and raised in the south. This style of typing, though not understood by some...put a smile on your face just trying to read through it. We as a group will miss all of them for a long time to come.
Below are a collection of
poems and verses collected from members in memory of our lost brothers. Should
you have a poem or somthing of the like and would likeus to add, we would
be more than happy to accomodate. This will be an open memorial and please
contact us should you have something to add such as a poem or picture.

"I Am Always With You"
When
I am gone, release me, let me go.
I
have so many things to see and do,
You
mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears,
But
be thankful we had so many good years.
I
gave you my love, and you can only guess
How
much you've given me in happiness.
I
thank you for the love that you have shown,
But
now it is time I traveled on alone.
So
grieve for me a while, if grieve you must
Then
let your grief be comforted by trust
That
it is only for a while that we must part,
So
treasure the memories within your heart.
I
won't be far away for life goes on.
And
if you need me, call and I will come.
Though
you can't see or touch me, I will be near
And
if you listen with your heart, you'll hear
All
my love around you soft and clear
And
then, when you come this way alone,
I'll
greet you with a smile and a "Welcome Home".

Requiem
From Underwoods
Under
the wide and starry sky
Dig
the grave and let me lie.
Glad
did I live and gladly die,
And
I laid me down with a will.
This
be the verse you grave for me;
Here
he lies where he longed to be,
Home
is the sailor, home from sea,
And
the hunter home from the hill.

I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God has laid, You see.
I took His hand when I heard His call.
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day.
To laugh, to love, to walk or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found the peace at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void, then,
Fill it with remembered joys.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Oh, yes these things too I miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savor much;
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heats and peace to thee.
GOD wanted me now; HE set me free.
My life's been full, I savor much;
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heats and peace to thee.
GOD wanted me now; HE set me free.
May the Lord
Bless His family and friends during this difficult time
